A Quick 10-Minute Football Routine to Try at Home
At SS United FC, we believe development doesn’t stop when training finishes. Some of the best improvements come from small, consistent habits away from the pitch.
If players are looking for something simple to work on at home, this 10-minute routine is a great place to start.
The Routine
2 minutes: Toe taps (stay light on your feet)
2 minutes: Inside-out touches (use both feet)
2 minutes: Sole rolls (control across the body)
2 minutes: Weak foot work (build confidence on both sides)
2 minutes: Freestyle (try skills, turns, or just enjoy it)
Why It Works
Regular touches on the ball improve control, coordination, and confidence. Over time, this helps players feel more comfortable in matches and make better decisions under pressure.
Consistency Over Perfection
It’s not about doing loads—it’s about doing a little, regularly. Even a few sessions a week can lead to real progress.
Most importantly, keep it enjoyable. The more players enjoy their time on the ball, the more they’ll improve naturally.
