⚽ Football Is Back at SS United: Find Your Perfect Session This New School Year
The new school year is officially here, and that means football is back at SS United! ⚽
After the summer break, it's time to get back into a routine, get back on the pitch and, most importantly, get back to enjoying football.
Whether your child is just starting their football journey, already plays regularly and wants to develop their skills, or is looking for more personalised coaching, we have a range of sessions available throughout the week.
From Saturday Soccer School and Technical Training to 1:1 and Small Group Coaching, there are plenty of opportunities to get involved.
⚽ Saturday Soccer School
Our Saturday Soccer School is designed for players aged 4–11 and provides a fun, welcoming environment where children can learn, play and develop their football skills.
Sessions are suitable for players of all abilities, whether they're picking up a football for the first time or already have plenty of experience on the pitch.
Players can work on fundamental skills including:
Ball control
Dribbling
Turning
Passing
Coordination
Confidence with the ball
The focus is on helping players develop their skills while enjoying themselves and building a positive relationship with football.
For younger players, that enjoyment is just as important as the development itself.
We want players to leave sessions feeling excited to come back and play again.
🎯 Technical Training
For players who want to spend more time developing their technical ability, our Technical Training sessions provide a focused environment to work on key football skills.
Technical ability forms an important part of every player's game.
Being comfortable receiving the ball, controlling it, passing accurately and moving with confidence can give players more options when they step onto the pitch.
Our sessions provide players with opportunities to practise these skills regularly and apply them in different situations.
Technical Training can be a great addition to a player's regular football, giving them extra time with the ball and opportunities to work on areas they may not get as much time to practise elsewhere.
👤 1:1 Football Coaching
Sometimes a player has a particular area of their game that they want to work on.
Maybe they want to improve their weaker foot.
Perhaps they want to become more confident in 1v1 situations, improve their finishing or work on a specific technical weakness.
1:1 coaching allows the session to be tailored around the individual player.
With one player and one coach, there is more opportunity to focus on specific areas, receive individual feedback and adjust the session to suit the player's needs.
It can also be a useful option for players preparing for trials or looking for an additional challenge.
The aim isn't simply to do more training.
It's about making that training specific to the player.
👥 Small Group Coaching
If your player enjoys training with friends or teammates, our Small Group Coaching sessions provide a more personalised environment while still allowing players to train together.
Sessions are available for small groups of 2–4 players, creating plenty of opportunities for players to get involved and receive coaching while also working with others.
Small group sessions can incorporate:
Passing
1v1 situations
Ball control
Decision-making
Finishing
Movement
Competition
Training alongside friends can also add an extra element of competition and enjoyment.
And because the group remains small, coaching can still be adapted around the players taking part.
Which Session Is Right for You?
Every player is different, so the best session will depend on their age, experience, confidence and what they want from their football.
Looking for a fun introduction to football?
Our Saturday Soccer School is a great place to start for players aged 4–11.
Want to develop your technical skills?
Technical Training provides additional opportunities to work on key football techniques.
Have a specific area you want to improve?
1:1 Coaching allows the session to be built around your individual development.
Want to train with a friend or teammate?
Small Group Coaching provides focused coaching in a small, interactive environment.
And these sessions don't have to replace the football players are already doing.
They can simply provide another opportunity to play, practise and develop.
A New School Year, A Fresh Start
The start of a new school year is a natural time to establish new routines and set new goals.
For some players, that might mean learning their first football skills.
For others, it might mean improving their technique, building confidence or working towards the next level.
Whatever stage they're at, having regular opportunities to get on the pitch can help players continue enjoying the game and developing their skills.
And sometimes, the best goal is simply:
Get out there and play. ⚽
We're Back!
With the new school year officially underway, SS United is back and ready for another season of football.
